Sake Cafe in Metairie

We used to eat here a couple of times a month, and visited for the first time in a while on Saturday. I got food poisoning so badly that I was sick before I even left the restaurant. Management barely spoke English, and all he said was that they don’t have bad food, I must have an allergy, and that they have insurance. We ordered the same things we also do, none of which includes raw fish. I reported to the Jefferson Parish Health Unit, but be cautious if you're dining there.

Not quite as good as it used to be. Love this place. I hope they were just having an off day...

I came here with my boyfriend. As a person allergic to seafood, the vegetable sushi is pretty good to me. The advocate is fresh and snow crabs looks great too！Will come here again

Sushi is always fresh, accommodated a group of 5 with fast, friendly service no reservation. Shrimp and veggie tempura was delicious, sake and other alcoholic beverages available.

Love that I can order my sushi with no rice. I can't eat rice and this important for me.

Friend brought me for Happy Hour Sushi and drinks... Server was great, as was the food. Its kinda tucked away, off Vets, but nice place.

Some of the cooked items are ok, but I wouldn't trust anything raw. The fish tastes old and the cut's are not right. Staff are polite and attentive, They just don't know how to prepare sushi properly.

Best place to get the right Naruto sauce. And their happy hour offers discounted rolls & appetizers which is helpful for my family because my 3 boys love sushi just as much as my husband an I.

Solid sushi and reasonable prices, the specialty rolls seem very expensive but are very large. The crawfish roll is a nice twist on the traditional California roll. The salmon is top quality, however the ikura (salmon roe) and tuna tasted a little bit off. This is a nice stop on the way to the airport from the city.

Shout out to Frank at the bar! Love this place. Consistently good sushi.

I really like this place. The chefs are really personable. Good atmosphere. Nice crowd but not to crowded where you are waiting 45 min to get a table. Creative dishes , delicious, too. Highly recommended.

Had a peaceful Sunday night dinner at this location. Friendly wait staff, fast service. I'm not familiar with Sushi, so I appreciate the honesty when I asked the staff what would be good for a person like me.

Sake Cafe is always fresh and good. It's why we have been coming back for years and years. We enjoyed the happy hour selection.

Rachel service was spot on. Attentive and prompt. Very friendly. Food was excellent. Great as always for lunch.

Good sushi and great service

My husband and I have been coming here for years. I love the snow crab naruto and it isnt something I find in many sushi restaurants so I always grab a roll when I'm back in town visiting family. It's snow crab wrapped in cucumber and I love it.

I am addicted to sushi, but no matter how many places I try out, This place always keeps me coming back for more. Their fish is so fresh and delicious! They have the best tempura roll and its so quaint that you feel quite cozy and at home. I've seen people complain about prices-it is certainly not the cheapest sushi but it is VERY reasonable for how good and fresh every piece of sushi is!

Service is always great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the rice tastes like soap at every sake location.

Great place to eat. The staff was extremely helpful and personable. The waiter was exceptional. She offered up her favorite items on the menu. Food was fantastic. This will definitely be a place we come again when visiting the city.

So the food is absolutely amazing , but the service is terrible , you will never be disappointed with what you stick in your mouth but I swear it’ll take 30 minutes to get there , although perfection takes time so take that as you will. I’ve eaten there many times and I’ll sit and complain because the chefs are incredible.

Had great experiences this week - it is a gorgeous restaurant, the bartenders were really friendly, and all of the food was outstanding. I will definitely be returning soon.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Everything was served fresh and hot. This was my first visit to Sake Cafe and I will definitely be coming back.

I've been eating here for 3 years now, and the food has been great every time! I'm a college student, so the sushi happy hour is ~AMAZING~Great rolls for a crazy low price! They've got a lifetime sushi customer right here 🙋🏼‍♀️

Good happy hour

Divinely delectable! Went here with a group of 9 for a team dinner; upon arrival, they showed us around so we could find the optimal spot for our group. We were tired so our Server took charge and ordered for us...wow!!! From the brocolli tempura, to the baked salmon to Lobster roll, there wasn't a bad choice for us.

The young lady as you walk in was fantastic and sushi is perfect
